Construction Skills Queensland funding
If you or your apprentice or trainee work in the building and construction industry (including civil construction) you may be eligible to access Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) funding to help reduce the cost of training.
TAFE Queensland is a proud recipient of Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) funding. Eligible participants can receive funding to a range of training options including short courses and individual units of competency, as well as certificate, diploma and advanced diploma qualifications. Funding is limited and subject to availability.
What is Construction Skills Queensland?
Construction Skills Queensland is an independent, not-for-profit, industry-funded body supporting employers, workers, apprentices, trainees and career seeks in the building and construction industry.
CSQ provides funding to reduce the financial obstacle to training, making upskilling an affordable option for many more individuals in the building and construction industry. CSQ funding is paid directly to TAFE Queensland saving participants approximately 75% to 100% of course costs.
What is funded?
We receive funding from CSQ to provide subsidised training to the building and construction industry. CSQ funding is available for selected short courses and skills assessments and gap training. There are a range of different courses and qualifications that attract funding for each program. Click the ‘download brochure’ button under each category to access information about the program, the courses and qualifications on offer, the CSQ contribution amount and the student contribution amount (the amount you would be required to pay).
Short courses
The short courses program provides funding for a number of competencies and skill sets for existing workers or those unemployed wanting to update their skills and knowledge in specific areas.
Skills Assessment and Gap Training
This program provides a pathway for eligible students with significant industry experience to have their skills recognised and receive the gap training required to achieve a nationally-recognised qualification.
Higher Qualifications
The Higher Qualifications Program helps existing workers in the building and construction industry to progress their career or those who are unemployed to gain new skills to get a new start.
