Career and employment services
Getting your qualification is only half the story. At TAFE Queensland the real end game is job outcomes for you, our students.
There are a range of career and employment resources and services you can access as a TAFE Queensland student. A great place to start is to ask your teachers or counsellors for advice on planning your career pathway, applying for jobs, and your future career development. Our library services staff can also assist by helping you find a variety of resources that will help kickstart your career. Some regions may also offer specific careers and employment resources, support, and job matching services.
Gold Coast
Gold Coast students and graduates can make an appointment with one of our Job Matching Officers (JMOs) for help with resumes, interviewing skills, researching job opportunities, and more. Our JMOs also work with industry to identify job openings in relevant industries.
North and Far North Queensland
Students in North and Far North Queensland can access our Learning Solutions unit who can help you prepare your resume, address selection criteria, and improve your interview skills. The unit is made up of industry professionals who have extensive experience and will work closely with you to help you achieve your full potential.
Find your Apprentice service
If you've completed, or are about to complete one of our pre-apprenticeship courses we can help connect you with an employer who's looking to take on an apprentice or trainee in your chosen industry through our Find your Apprentice service.
Back to Work: Discover - Encourage - Connect
TAFE Queensland students and graduates may also be eligible to access careers and employment services through the Back to Work program. The program provides an opportunity for jobseekers and those at risk of unemployment to upskill and retrain for jobs to keep pace with a changing Queensland economy and includes wrap around support such as uniforms, training kits, and short courses.

For help and advice on planning your career journey head to myfuture and Job Outlook to find information on identifying your interests, building your career profile, and exploring occupations. If you're looking to get into the workforce or change or upgrade your career you can find and apply for jobs on employment sites like Australian Job Search, Seek, and Career One. You can also approach an employment or recruitment agency who can help connect you with potential employers.

For employers
Finding the right people for your business can be challenging. Our jobs board could be the solution. Connect with our current students and graduates in two easy steps.
Step 1: Set up your business profile and submit your initial job opportunity. Spend 5-10 minutes completing your employer profile form.
Step 2: Once you’ve completed your employer profile, you will receive your direct access to the Prosple Employer Hub.
For each additional job you’d like to advertise, you can simply log into the Employer Portal and submit your job posting.
