Carpentry and cabinet making facilities
Our carpentry and cabinet-making students have access to a range of specialised facilities where they can practice and hone their skills. Our highly experienced and passionate teachers will teach you using the latest tools and technology and equip you with the skills you need to launch your trade career.
Carpentry workshops
Our carpentry workshops are a hive of activity. Our facilities at Acacia Ridge span an impressive 5,000 square metres and are complemented by eight modern classrooms as well as a restricted height scaffolding training space.
In our workshops you'll learn how to install flooring systems, erect wall frames and roof trusses, hang doors and windows, and apply decorative trims.
We also have carpentry workshops at our Bracken Ridge and Alexandra Hills campuses where our carpentry students have access to industry-standard hand and power tools as well as a wide range of timber to work with.
Shopfitting, furniture making, and cabinet making workshops
You'll study the entire furniture-making process from computer-aided design (CAD) right through to construction in our purpose-built, modern workshops and classrooms at our Acacia Ridge, Bracken Ridge and Ashmore campuses.
Our students train using the latest technologies including state-of-the-art computer numerical control (CNC) machines, lathes mills, and wall saws.
Our well-equipped facilities guarantee a comprehensive learning experience encompassing both traditional and modern furniture-making techniques.
