Plumbing facilities
Our plumbing training facilities are renowned throughout Queensland. We have purpose-built facilities for a range of plumbing specialisations including water supply, drainage, sanitary plumbing, gasfitting, and roofing, allowing you learn on the same equipment you'll use in industry.
Plumbing towers
Our multi-level plumbing towers at our Acacia Ridge, Ashmore and Eagle Farm campuses are the only three in Queensland.. Our plumbing towers allows our teachers to train students in an environment that simulates the complexities of a residential or commercial multi-level dwelling.
You'll also have access to our specialised gas fitting labs, complete with natural gas and LPG ovens, cookers, and grills from both residential and commercial environments.
Plumbing workshops
As a plumbing student at TAFE Queensland you'll study in modern classrooms and workshops fully-equipped with all the latest technology on hand. Facilities include a three storey walk up, poly welders, pipe locators, and electric eel/drain snakes. We also have a trade waste facility donated by Reece where students can learn best-practice trade waste management processes.
Gas fitting labs
You'll also have access to our specialised gas fitting labs, complete with natural gas and LPG ovens, cookers, and grills from both residential and commercial environments.
Roof plumbing
Our roof plumbers train in a simulated environment on roofs of all pitches and designs. You'll learn skills in the installation of roof sheeting, wall cladding, non-metallic roof materials, and roof insulation in our large, open plan workshop.
Roof plumbing students will also learn how to install fascias, gutters, downpipes, valley gutters, ridge capping, flashings and wall cladding. Our industry-qualified, expert teachers ensure you learn to perform these tasks to a high standard.
