TAFE Queensland offers many different SEE study options. Ask your local Centrelink, Employment Service Provider or Community Development Program to refer you to a TAFE Queensland SEE class.

You can attend:

  • full-time (20 - 25 hours a week) OR
  • part-time (10 - 19 hours a week) while you look for work

Depending on the TAFE Queensland location, classes are:

  • up to five hours per day, including breaks
  • held during the day (evening classes may be available based on demand)
  • run for 46 weeks of the year.

Vocational skills training

At many TAFE Queensland locations you can study in areas such as hospitality, aged care, child care, construction, horticulture and more during your SEE training. Credit can be attained and put towards further study in that vocational area.

SEE classes that incorporate Certificate level vocational units are demand based and will vary by area. Check with your Employment Service Provider for more information.

Indigenous student support

TAFE Queensland has Indigenous Support Officers and culturally trained teachers who provide additional support and guidance to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people studying in SEE classes.
