Work Observation and Experience

Work Observation

You can start to put your learning into practice and build job confidence with Work Observation visits to local employers. Work Observation activities include guest speakers from businesses, workplace visits, interviews with staff and simulated workplaces during your SEE class time. By visiting and observing a range of work places and industries, either in small or class groups, you can:

  • learn to interact with employers and employees;
  • develop an understanding of Australian workplace culture, employer expectations and procedures; and
  • begin to map your own pathway to obtain work related skills, qualifications and employment.

Work Experience

Work Experience placements will only be affected to SEE students who are enrolled in a vocational program which requires them to undertake this activity to achieve their Certificate qualification. You can discuss your goals and needs with a TAFE adviser during your Pre-Training Assessment.
