Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) Funding

Funded training for building and construction workers

If you're currently working in building, general construction or civil construction you may be eligible for training at a reduced price and in some cases, no cost at all. This funding opportunity is thanks to Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ).

CSQ is an independent, industry-funded body supporting employers, workers, apprentices and career seekers in the building and construction industry. CSQ believes that a successful industry relies on a combination of world class capability and access to the best knowledge.

TAFE Queensland and CSQ offer four different types of funding:

Trade Start Program (General Construction): This Certificate I in Construction program provides job ready skills though an entry level qualification. The program is suited to people with no previous building or construction experience, including school leavers or those working in a different industry.

Skill Assessment and Gap Training (SAGT) (General and Civil Construction): Recognition of Prior Learning and gap training for people already working in the construction industry.

Higher Level Skills (General and Civil Construction): Certificate IV, Diploma and Advanced Diploma training for people looking to take their career to the next level.

Short Courses (General and Civil Construction): Perfect for people looking to learn new and important skills.

Please note: eligibility criteria apply to all CSQ funded programs.
