Preparing Queenslanders to return to work

Businesses around Queensland are gradually re-opening in line with the government’s Roadmap to easing Queensland’s restrictions. As the economy restarts, it’s important that we take precautions, to reduce the chance of COVID-19 outbreaks. We have developed training to support workers and businesses as they re-open or operate in a world affected by COVID-19. COVID Safe skill sets and micro-credentials are available, tailored to the beauty and hospitality industries.

TAFE Queensland are also offering fully funded skill sets for food handling, retail and transport and logistics that will help employees gain knowledge and skills in to implement practical infection control strategies and practices. These skill sets give employees the knowledge to follow organisational infection prevention and control policies and procedures, including implementing standard and transmission-based precautions and responding to infection risks in organisations.

These programs are fully funded by the Queensland Government and may form part of a business’s COVID Safe plan.
