Practice Teaching requirements
Students are required to complete 20 hours of practical placement - 10 hours of observation of a suitably qualified and experienced teacher and 10 hours of practice teaching while being supervised by a suitably qualified and experienced teacher. However, if you have successfully completed the LTi Certificate IV in TESOL, you will only be required to do an additional eight (8) hours of observation and practice teaching, with at least four (4) of those hours being practice teaching. This may be completed either face to face or virtually subject to availability through discussions with course supervisor. A portfolio collection of lesson plans and associated activities and resources must be submitted and assessed as part of the practice teaching requirements.
