Course overview

Add to your skill set with this test and tag course. You'll be able to inspect, test and tag equipment in your workplace or as a self-employed worker to ensure yours and others' safety.

Employers must ensure specified electrical equipment is regularly and properly inspected, tested and tagged as safe and required certified workers to undertake this task.

You'll learn how to inspect and test portable, hand-held electrical equipment using a portable appliance tester, and test electrical equipment as required by the Australian Standard AS/NZS 3760.

You will learn how to conduct standard in-service safety inspection, testing and tagging of electrical equipment in accordance with the electrical safety regulations. You will apply your skills to a range of 3-phase/multiphase electrical equipment including extension leads, portable workshop equipment and electrical portable outlet devices (EPODs).

Successful completion of this course will allow you to test and tag equipment in your workplace.
