Course overview

The focus of this course is to master the basics and it has been devised to offer the maximum exposure to the French language and culture.  A mini-immersion style will be used in class, with French language used increasingly to familiarise students with the sounds and nuances of the language.

At the end of the course, students will master the basics of the language using the four languages skills: speaking, listening, writing and reading.  Students will learn the rules of pronunciation and spelling principles and will be able to communicate on topics such as greetings, introductions, and manners in a formal or informal context. You will also be able to use numbers, express date, time and phone numbers.

The course is facilitated by a native French speaker.

Areas covered include: family, jobs, hotels, holiday, grammatical explanations, charts and vocabulary listings.  It is ideal for travellers or those with an interest in the language.
