Course overview

Upgrading from Level 1 basic Italian, this course places emphasis on communication skills, appointments and opinions. Students will also learn to talk about their hobbies, health, the weather, describing people and organising a party. During this course students will be asked to read and verbally summarise a text and to interact in Italian.

After a quick review of previous Level 1 for new students, the Level 2 topics will include how to: describe people, what people are like, give an opinion, preference, arrange appointments, what they ... are doing, what sport they play and like, ask and give the date, buy by weight, organise a party, entertainment, talk about the weather, what they do throughout the day, and public transport.

This short course is non-accredited therefore is not registered with the National Training Register.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

Selection criteria

Students must have completed Italian Level 1 - Introduction or have some good basic Italian language skills.

Resources Required
  • Students that have completed Italian Level 1 - Introduction, please bring your book 'Buongiorno Italia!' for this course. If you do not have this book, it can be purchased from TAFE Queensland. Payment will be arranged and the book will be delivered to the first class for you. The cost of this book is $30.00.
  • Please also bring a pen and paper for note taking.
  • Students need to present their Confirmation of Enrolment to the car park attendant each week to be eligible for discounted parking
