Progress your knowledge in water industry operations and develop specialist skills to monitor, operate and maintain drinking water treatment operations. 

The Australian Government's Job Outlook service predicts this growing industry will have up to 10,000 job openings over the next five years. 

In this course you will learn how to carry out and test source and drinking water, as well as operate and control various processes of drinking water treatment. You will also learn risk management principles of the water industry standards, guidelines and legislation. 

Successful completion of this course will enable you to gain employment in wastewater treatment operations in roles such as water services officer, catchment ranger or water compliance manager.

While there are no formal entry requirements for this course, TAFE Queensland requires you to already be employed in the industry as or ready to enrol as an apprentice or trainee.

It is assumed that you will be receiving appropriate structured on-the-job training while undertaking this qualification.
