Course overview

The objective of this short course is to provide participants with a solid understanding of the basic principles of solar power systems on: Recreational Vehicles (RVs), Caravans, Trailers, and Work Utes. This short course is designed for people who are not electricians – no previous electrical experience is required.  It provides participants with an understanding of solar power applications used within these types of vehicles for sustainable work and living activities.

Selection criteria

To take part in this course, you will need to be a:

  • Queensland resident
  • Australian or New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident (including humanitarian entrants), or a temporary resident with the necessary visa and work permits on the pathway to permanent residency

TAFE Queensland strongly recommends:

  • Sound achievement in Year 10 English and Maths or equivalent
