Want to know about Australian Native bees? This is the place to start or build your knowledge and skills.

Learn about some of our most popular and beautiful native bees, and how to attract them into your garden in this informative workshop. This workshop will cover both our native solitary bees and our stingless bees, and options for keeping them in gardens or even on decks and verandas. What you need to know to keep Native stingless bees is here.

This course is conducted by a Qualified and experienced Beekeeping Educator with years of experience in the Beekeeping Industry.

This course and our other beekeeping topics on offer, are an investment in your bees, the environment, and your own ability to get the most from your beekeeping experience.

  • To be aware of the differences between Solitary and Social Native bees
  • To identify some basic bee anatomy
  • To be aware of bee castes
  • To be able to identify nest structure
  • To identify some pests and diseases of Native stingless bees

  • To have knowledge for “splitting” a colony
