Course overview

Learn the process of preserving food by immersion in vinegar and anaerobic fermentation in brine in this one day workshop for Beginners.  

Start from the classic cucumber & dill, bread & butter pickles and understanding the recipe and procedure that affects the food’s flavour and texture to create the pickle to tickle your taste buds and enhance your meals.Pickling is age old process that has been adopted by many cultures over 1000’s of years. Pickling is an essential skill for many cultures and cuisines around the world.

By joining our pickling experience you will have the ability to preserve foods for months and years beyond their most common timeframes in a safe environment.

Our educator will join the pieces of the pickling puzzle and the health benefits that are attached to such a beautiful process in the food production cycle.

You will experience a variety of hands on steps, preparation and also 'watch and follow' demonstrations by the teacher.
