Course overview

This second sustainability course out of the Introduction to Sustainable Living: Bundle is project-based.

In the first lesson you will learn how to conduct an assessment of the design attributes of your residential home and surrounding site.

In lesson two (2), you will analyse your home assessment and consider how to make practical changes to improve the energy efficiency, overall sustainability and liveability of your property.

This investigation will include exploring and utilising passive design, renewable energy choices, energy efficient landscaping and liveability principles.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

Resources required

You are required to bring along a laptop computer capable of connecting to the internet to undertake online interactive activities and a USB for saving files.

Need to know

There will be an excursion to a local community garden in lesson 6 and you will need to find your own transport to and from the venue. This will be discussed with you in the first lesson.
