Course overview

Sustainable floristry is a one day workshop designed with purpose; to learn, create and introduce you to techniques and skills in floristry with an earth conscious focus.

This class creates a relaxed environment for exploring ways we can design with awareness and consideration to our environment, designing with Australian grown blooms and completely foam free.

What you will learn:

  • build skills in hand tied design
  • explore techniques in arranging flowers with a sustainable focus
  • contemporary vase design
  • foam free floral design
  • how we can re-use and recycle floristry products.

This short course will be utilising sustainable resources, as our new Robina campus ensures that sustainability is embedded into every aspect of campus operations including campus design, course curriculum and student life.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

Resources required
  • All fresh flowers and materials required to complete three (3) sustainable floral designs are supplied.
  • You are asked to bring a medium sized bucket, your lunch and refreshments.
  • Please wear enclosed non-slip footwear.
Need to know
  • The enrolment fee includes course supplies provided by the teacher which are non-refundable.
  • We recommend using public transport or

  • Parking can be accessed via Paddington Place. ONLY park in the spaces marked the the red TAFE Queensland logo on the ground on either B1 or B2 to avoid being find by EasyPark.
