Course overview

Ever wondered where to start with seeds, growing and preserving your own food? Want to learn more about reducing food wastage and increasing the pantry supply?

During this three (3) hour workshop you will learn all about heirloom seeds, how to save the seeds from what you grow, so you will always have a climate controlled supply of mother plant authentic seed stock.

How to make simple pots from waste around the home that you can plant into the garden without disturbing the root system, giving your crop a great start. And they actually work!

We will also dive into general food waste and how easy it is to make stock, soup fillers, flours, etc from things people would either normally discard or pop in the compost.

With the price of basics increasing, this is a must for those wanting simple ways to stock their pantry, add extra nutrition to their food and save money.

You will create your own eco-friendly pots, and be able to take home your seeds to start your culinary adventure. These paper pots last the distance through the seedling to soil lift, while offering minimal damage to the root system... win win!

We will cover basics like cornflour, grain and berry flour, pumpkin flour, zucchini flour, tomato skin powder for gravies, soups and flavouring, etc. The seeds given to take home will be based on pizza themed garden, easy for pots, outdoors, windowsills and small apartments. Pizza them herbs open up to a diverse palate and array of food choises that are most favourable. You will also be given direction on how to build an easy outdoor pizza/bread oven.

Join us solo for an evening with like-minded people or brin along your bestie, this class will definately not disappoint.
