Selection criteria

The selection criteria for this degree at TAFE Queensland requires the eligibility to credit the first 2 years using the below criteria in order to enrol into the third and final year:

  • Year 1 - Credit Transfer from:

A completed diploma in any field, although a diploma in a related field (for example business, information technology, hospitality, dental technology, project management, etc.)

  • Year 2 - Credit Transfer/Recognition of Prior Learning from:

A completed advanced diploma (with at least 50% management content, for example Diploma of - Business Management, Project Management, Hospitality Management, Sport and Recreation Management). Successful Credit Transfer depends on what and how many units have been completed by each student per qualification being assessed:

BSB61015 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management

BSB61215 Advanced Diploma of Program Management

Significant current and relevant industry experience (more than 1,200 hours). Students that do not hold an eligible qualification but possess extensive industry skills, knowledge and experience are highly recommended to enquire about Recognition of Prior Learning.

Need to know

The Bachelor of Applied Management through Federation University contains 24 courses/units, with the first two years of the degree (16 courses/units) being earned from Credit transferred from completing a diploma, advanced diploma and applicable prior professional/industry experience. TAFE Queensland delivers the third and final year of this bachelor degree with students expected to complete the remaining 8 eight courses/units.
