With more than 1,600 sports and physical recreation facilities across the country there is a high demand for specialists in sustainable turf management.

In this course you will develop chemical use strategies, monitor and evaluate pest management plans, and plan and establish playing surfaces. You will also gain advanced skills in machine management and plant problem diagnosis. An assessment of your training needs and current professional experience will be conducted and your course work will be set in line with this.

By successfully completing this course you will be able to confidently oversee teams, facilities, and major sporting fields at organisations and clubs of all sizes.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

Selection criteria

This qualification has the following entry requirements: Entrants must have completed the Certificate III in Sports Turf Management by course work or by Recognition of Prior Learning or an equivalent trade level qualification in green keeping or turf management. If you’re under 17 years of age, special enrolment conditions may apply.
