Course overview

Elevate your fashion career to the next level with this advanced course. Gain the technical and creative skills required to work as a senior fashion designer.

According to the Australian Government's Job Outlook service, the number of people working as fashion, industrial and jewellery designers has seen very strong growth in the past few years. Growth in the sector is expected to remain steady with around 4,000 job openings expected over the next five years.

You will develop specialist knowledge across the entire fashion design process, from design through to production and selling. You will also develop advanced skills in clothing and fashion accessories design, garment production, and marketing. Study tours to global fashion destinations including New York, London, Paris, Milan, Hong Kong, Shanghai and New Delhi are offered as part of this course. In addition, in your final semester you will exhibit your fashion range to industry representatives and potential employers at our graduate fashion parades.

Successful completion of this course will give you the specialised knowledge and skills required to work as a senior fashion designer or commercial textile designer. Graduates will also finish their studies with a comprehensive portfolio of work.
