Human Resource professionals are an essential part of any business, and this qualification will open a diverse range of opportunities for you across a wide range of industries.

In this course you will gain specialised skills in performance management, effective working relationships, law (including industrial relations), and recruitment. Challenge yourself with elective units in complex document writing or analysis and presentation of research information. Our teaching staff are at the top of their game and are still heavily involved in the industry. This means you're being taught by people who know what employers are looking for and where the sector is headed.

Successful completion of this course will qualify to work in a range of human resources management positions. Job roles could include human resources assistants, coordinators, administrators and payroll officers. This course will also give you the specialised knowledge required to apply for further study.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

Selection criteria

Sound levels of computer and literacy skills are desirable, in particular Microsoft Word and PowerPoint; or  Vocational or life experience in an entry-level Human Resources, or related, field is an advantage . 

Need to know

When studying online it is strongly recommended students follow the preferred order of study and enrol in no more than two units per intake, unless otherwise advised.

Skill and knowledge assessments are an essential step in progressing through your course. You may be assessed in a number of ways while you are studying at TAFE Queensland, including observation, written assessment, questioning, portfolios, work samples, third-party feedback, and through recognition of prior learning.
