Boost your skills with this specialised automotive qualification. This course provides the skills to work as a specialist mechanic for cars, forklifts, marine vessels and stationary engines up to a maximum of 5 GJ per hour.
Industry growth and adoption of new technology are opening up a number of job opportunities in diagnostic, servicing, repair and maintenance roles across Australia.
This course covers the skills to install, service, repair and inspect automotive LPG systems and components in an automotive workplace including gas device (engine), containers (tank or cylinders), fittings (valves, regulators, converters, shut off devices, fill points) and pipes. The course includes the mandatory competencies required for licence application and may be undertaken in addition to or as part of other automotive qualifications. Our highly experienced team of industry-professionals work in partnership with major automotive companies to ensure you learn current techniques using the latest technology.
Upon successful completion of this course you will gain a Statement of Attainment allowing you to apply for a trade licence.

Anyone seeking authorisation to install or alter gas fuel systems to vehicles or vessels will require, or have access to, a workshop that is compliant with AS2746.
Servicing and certifying work may be undertaken in a mobile workshop, only where a mobile workshop has been applied for on the application form, and the equipment checklist has been completed.
You must ensure that you meet the Queensland Gas Work Authorisation Requirements.
