Recent advances in recording technology are allowing musicians and composers to record and publish their own music. Artists with these multidisciplinary skills will be well placed to succeed in this dynamic industry.

This practical course covers a broad area of music knowledge including harmonies, group performance, aural perception, and accompaniments. You will also compose music using electronic media and produce sound recordings. You'll develop your skills through practical experience including recording sessions and live events. You will also complete analytical studies of historical, cultural, and technological applications in commercial contexts.

Our performance stream focuses on live performance, production and composition techniques. With a focus on nurturing and developing a holistic, creative, and entrepreneurial approach to music making, you will be prepared with the best chance of success in a highly competitive and global music industry.
