Learn the art of modelling a specimen sugar flower and making a life-size edible sugar romantic rose.

This class is personally tailored to the individual in a group environment optimizing knowledge and skills and promoting the ability to reproduce nature’s perfection.

The class includes techniques such as use of transparent flower paste, wiring petals and foliage, creating movement in petals, use of cutters, colours, wiring and veining.

At the end of the class students leave with the knowledge and abilities that surpass all expectation.

This short course is non-accredited therefore is not registered with the National Training Register.

Resources required

  • Flower paste - see Sugarartcreations webpage for the Helen Dissell recipe.
  • Email the teacher for a list of requirements for this course: hdissell@bigpond.net.au.
  • Equipment such as cutters and colours and other essentials will be available to purchase in class on the first day if required. Payment may be made by EFTPOS.
  • Students must wear enclosed shoes which are flat and comfortable as this is a workplace health and safety requirement.
  • Please note:  There are no canteen facilities at Coomera over the weekend so students are advised to bring their own refreshments.
