According to the Work Health and Safety Act 2017 from 1 July 2018, anyone working as a Health and Safety Representative (HSR) in your business is required to attend a one day refresher every three years.
Currently due to social distancing, TAFE Queensland has been approved by Workplace Health and Safety Queensland to deliver via a Zoom online classroom.
If you want to go on to further study at university, TAFE Queensland has a pathway option to get you there. In many cases, completing one of our diplomas may give you a full year of credit towards a degree with one of our partner universities.Learn more about university pathways

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.
This refresher training package is intended to be delivered both as the Workplace Health and Safety Queensland HSR refresher training course for elected HSR's who have completed the approved 5-day initial training course, and the bridging course for existing HSR's who have completed course 30630QLD - Functioning as a Workplace Health and Safety Representative.
Therefore, persons eligible to complete this training are;
You will be required to bring your personal stationery (pens and paper) for note taking.
Mixed mode delivery:
Those completing their study through the Zoom online classroom will be required to have a reliable computer and internet connection.
Skill and knowledge assessments are an essential step in progressing through your course. You may be assessed in a number of ways while you are studying at TAFE Queensland, including observation, written assessment, questioning, portfolios, work samples, third-party feedback, and through recognition of prior learning.
