Course overview

Course overview

The best time to travel to Japan is now!   With cheap airfares, the ski season approaching and the delicious Japanese cuisine why wait!

Japan is a popular holiday destination for Australians and tourism in Japan has been booming over the last 5 years.  Tokyo is busy preparing to host the Olympics in 2020 so this is prime time for tourists to explore the beautiful culture and hospitality.

This is a communication course; communication is not just ‘speaking’- in this course we are going to learn to communicate using your finger with an e-book. Please see sample of e-book http://www.yubisashi.com/

In this light 5 week course Junko will teach you the minimum Japanese you'll need to enjoy your holiday as an independent tourist - from greetings, airport, train travel, on the street, in the shop and more.

The teacher will also:

  • introduce the online translation app
  • share lots of travelling tips, help plan your holiday, discuss destinations
  • focus more on your holiday rather than learning a second language.

If you’d like to learn Japanese as a second language, please enrol in our Japanese Conversation Level 1 course, see here.

This short course is non-accredited therefore is not registered with the National Training Register
