This short course will prepare you for Grid Connect accreditation as prescribed by the Clean Energy Council (CEC). If you are an Electrician you may choose to gain Grid Connect Accreditation in Install and Design. Non-Electricians may only enrol in Design. Read the specific details about accreditation on Clean Energy Council before enrolling in this course.

Selection criteria

Students must be a qualified Electrician or Electrical Mechanic.

Students must either supply a copy of their Year 12 Certificate issued by the state certifying body in the state you completed year 12 or undertake a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment by the first course census date. For a list of all census dates please click HERE.

Resources required

Required textbooks and Australian Standards (AS):

  • safety Glasses
  • hat and sunscreen
  • notebook
  • calculator
  • active email address
  • internet access
  • Microsoft Word and Excel.

Students failing to meet these minimum standards of dress will not be permitted entry in to practical classes.

Skill and knowledge assessments are an essential step in progressing through your course. You may be assessed in a number of ways while you are studying at TAFE Queensland, including observation, written assessment, questioning, portfolios, work samples, third-party feedback, and through recognition of prior learning.
