Course overview

To obtain an electrical work licence in Queensland you must contact the Electrical Safety Office. You will be issued a twelve-month electrical work training permit and be allowed to perform electrical work under the supervision of an appropriately licensed worker.

You must then complete the Australian context gap training with an approved RTO. On successful completion of the training you can apply for your Queensland electrical work licence.

Note: Although permits are issued for twelve months, depending on your previous experience you may be deemed competent by your approved RTO sooner.
