Course overview

Your staff will learn from the best, on the job, giving them the hands-on, practical skills to take on this significant operational responsibility. This course provides the required skills and knowledge to operate a non-slewing mobile crane with a capacity exceeding 3 tonnes safely.  Non-slewing mobile crane means a mobile crane incorporating a boom or jib that cannot be slewed and includes articulated type mobile cranes and locomotive cranes (but does not include vehicle tow trucks). A person performing this work is required to hold a non-slewing mobile crane high risk work (HRW) licence. This unit requires a person operating non-slewing mobile crane to plan the work, conduct routine checks, set up crane, transfer load, mobile load and shut down and secure crane.

Units

To successfully complete this course, you will need to complete 1 unit of competency and on-the-job supervised logbook training.
