Just being online or having a business Facebook page doesn’t mean automatic success. You might be aware of how online promotion or social media works, but is it really working for you? 

Have you heard of the following; SEO, PPC, SEM, Blogging, Keyword, Metatag, Backlink, RSS or EDM? Do you know what they mean? More importantly would you like to learn how these can build a better online presence for your business? The first session of this program aims to demystify and provide practical experience with the complex world of online marketing and promotion.

For businesses, social media - when used correctly, can help build your brand and assist you in developing a loyal client or customer base. Using social media for business is different to using it personally, and this program is a hands-on practical course dedicated to teaching those in attendance some of the strategies used by marketers engaging in social media marketing. It is not just for big business, of the three million plus business pages on Facebook, more than 50 percent of them are owned by small businesses. Be introduced to the power of social media and how this can be used to continue your online influence.

      • Snapchat – Leveraging this exciting platform
    • Engaging with your audience with effective messages

Direct entry, year 10 or equivalent.

If you’re under 17 years of age, special enrolment conditions may apply.

Resources required

Students attending classes need to present their Confirmation of Enrolment to the car park attendant each week to be eligible for discounted parking.

Assessment Methods

Skill and knowledge assessments are an essential step in progressing through your course. You may be assessed in a number of ways while you are studying at TAFE Queensland, including observation, written assessment, questioning, portfolios, work samples, third-party feedback, and through recognition of prior learning.
