In a busy childcare environment, it is often hard to find time to reflect on not only the learning of the children, but the development of your skills as an Educator. This workshop will show you what Critical Reflection is; why you should practice it; the benefits to yourself and your business and provide some concise strategies to empower you to become a critical reflector.

The workshop is offered to currently employed Educators who work in a regulated child care service.
It is highly recommended that students have a valid email address and access to a workplace to practice and apply skills, students also require personal stationery (pens and paper).
This workshop will establish the difference in reflecting versus being able to critically reflect. It will assist you to unpack the framework requirement for this important practice and provide clear strategies on how you can embed this into your daily practice as an Educator.
Skill and knowledge assessments are an essential step in progressing through your course. You may be assessed in a number of ways while you are studying at TAFE Queensland, including observation, written assessment, questioning, portfolios, work samples, third-party feedback, and through recognition of prior learning.
