Course content includes:
- Hands-on experience: Explore the major wine styles through tastings of 6 carefully chosen samples
- Tasting techniques: Master the WSET Level 1 Systematic Approach to Tasting – a proven method for analysing wines

Assessment is conducted at the end of the learning day, with a closed-book exam of 30 multiple-choice questions, a passing grade of 70% or more is needed.

Study Hours:
This qualification has a minimum requirement of 6 hours of study time in the classroom with a WSET course provider. TAFE Queensland recommends students participate in the revision activities available to you on Connect once enrolled to help increase your chance of success in the qualification.
