Course overview

This introductory course will give you the basic practical and theoretical skills required to make simple welds in Stick, MIG, and TIG welding processes. This course is perfect for people currently working in the industry who want to increase their welding skills. 

You will learn how to perform a number of routine welding processes including manual metal arc welding (MMAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), and gas metal arc welding (GMAW). You will also learn how to identify commonly used metals and select the appropriate welding techniques to achieve safe and effective welding outcomes.  

Successful completion of this course will equip you with essential welding skills that can be used across a number of industries. It will also prepare you to continue your studies at a certificate level.
