In this course you'll develop the necessary skills required to successfully manage modern bus and coach operations. Learn how to manage budgets, implement operations plans, foster team effectiveness and performance, and administer chain of responsibility polices and procedures. Discover how to develop and implement passenger transport plans, purchasing strategies, and workplace policy and procedures. Gain essential skills in conflict resolution and customer service and learn how to maintain, monitor and improve transport operations systems.

Successful completion of this course will prepare you for a range of supervisory and management roles in the transport and logistics industry including fleet manger, operations manager, or service delivery manager.

Selection criteria

Whilst there are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, to enrol with TAFE Queensland you will need to be currently employed within the bus and coach industry. It is recommended that students entering this course have some management experience in the transport and bus and coach industry.

Students with experience in the industry will be provided with the opportunity to RPL through competencies.

The Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process may confirm competence for whole competencies or it may identify elements of Gap Training to be met prior to assessment.

You are responsible for meeting the minimum occupational health and safety requirements in practical classes.
