Course overview

Course overview

Networking is about interacting with other people and engaging them for mutual benefit. It can help you establish a new business or grow an existing one. You can also use networking as a tool for finding investors, customers, staff, suppliers and business partners with minimal cost to your business.

The first session of this course (week 1) introduces the basic concepts of networking and how networking with any people including casual contacts can help you and your business.

In session two (week 2) we will discuss your situation and identify your strengths or that of your business. This is important prior to starting your networking plan. We then investigate networking strategies in session three (week 3) including speed networking with your class-mates.

Session four (week 4) we focus on ways to communicate and network with students in class and other contacts you already have.

Then in session five (week 5) we identify ways to contact and network with other people outside your inner circles including digital and social networking and networking groups. We finish by finalising your networking plan for implementation.

This program is designed for business owners and those in a position where they require more tips and strategies on how to network for self-improvement and is recommended as a professional development course.
