If you have already participated in our first introductory short course, Emotional Intelligence, you now have the opportunity to come back and reflect on your progress and develop your coaching and communications skills.

In this second emotional intelligence short course, you will improve your ability to:

  1. Create more awareness in yourself and others around the content covered in our first introductory course.
  2. Built connections, empathy and relationships with others through good coaching and communication.
  3. Raise better awareness around the goals, issues and headaches that we all have and the impact that we have on each other.
  4. Explore safely with others the foundations and methods relied on for the beliefs that we all hold.
  5. Be more comfortable having difficult conversations and setting boundaries with others.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

Selection criteria

This course is suitable for students who have completed our introduction course Emotional Intelligence.

Resources required

  • You will be required to bring a pen and paper for note taking. 
  • If you are attending Southport, you will need to present your Confirmation of Enrolment to the car park attendant each week to be eligible for discounted parking.

Assessment Methods

Skill and knowledge assessments are an essential step in progressing through your course. You may be assessed in a number of ways while you are studying at TAFE Queensland, including observation, written assessment, questioning, portfolios, work samples, third-party feedback, and through recognition of prior learning.
