Develop the essential, entry-level skills you need to work in transport operations as a driver. This skill set will prepare you to get started in the transport and logistics industry.
In this introductory course you'll lean how to shift loads safely using manual handling methods, calculate manual load shifting requirements, follow and apply work health and safety procedures, apply fatigue management strategies, and interpret road maps and navigate routes. You'll also discover how to complete workplace orientation and induction procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and workplace operational policies and procedures.
Successful completion of this skill set will prepare you to seek work as a driver in the transport and logistics industry.
Sometimes you need skills, but don't need a full qualification. That’s where skill sets can help. A skill set is one or more competencies grouped together to give you the skills and knowledge to perform practical tasks. They can be non-accredited resulting in a statement of participation, or accredited resulting in a statement of attainment.
