HLTSS00066 Infection Control Skill Set (Food Handling)
Help Queensland slow the spread of COVID-19. This skill set will prepare you to follow basic organisational infection prevention and control policies and procedures and is suitable for people who work food handling industry.
In this course you'll learn how to follow standard and additional precautions for infection prevention and control. Discover how to implement standard and transmission-based precautions, and respond to infection risks in the workplace. You'll also discover how to identify, separate, and clean contaminated zones with a heightened level of diligence.

A skill set is one or more competencies grouped together to give you the skills and knowledge to perform practical tasks. They can be non-accredited resulting in a statement of participation, or accredited resulting in a statement of attainment.
In response to COVID-19 the Queensland Government has committed $500 million to assist workers who lose their job or income with retraining, job-matching and other help to transition into jobs in key industries.
