Course overview

Course overview

SketchUp is the fastest, easiest 3D modelling program. Useful for architects, designers (interior, industrial, graphic and furniture), yet also easy and cheap enough to be used by the home renovator.

It is the perfect program to use if you want to re-design your home to see how your rooms will look by removing a wall, knocking through a window, re-modelling your kitchen or simply re-arranging your furniture.

While SketchUp can be used to design buildings, machines, furniture, lights, cars or anything you can imagine, this course will focus on modelling a room in your house that will give you the skills to undertake other projects as well.

SketchUp has the shortest learning curve of any 3D software.

Master the basics of SketchUp in four lessons:

  1. Learn how to use the tools to create shapes, products and rooms.
  2. Model your own room in 3D.
  3. Import furnishings and textures for realistic rendering.
  4. Create a walk-through animation.
