Course overview

Learn the skills necessary to use a centralised system to monitor and control sites remotely. This short course provides the necessary skills to use Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) to gather and analyse real-time data.

During this short course you will learn how to use SCADA to monitor and control a plant or equipment in industries including telecommunications, water and waste control, energy, oil and gas refining and transportation.

Our experienced teachers will also teach you how to develop, enter and verify programs, and cover industrial concepts and control functionality.

Selection criteria

To gain entry into this course, you must have completed the below units:

  • UEENEEI150A - Develop, enter and verify discrete control programs for programmable controllers; and

  • UEENEEI151A - Develop, enter and verify word and analogue control programs for programmable logic controllers

Need to know

Replacement Skill Set
This skill set has been superseded, as of 4 October 2020. A transition period applies to enable current students to complete their study. The transition period finishes on 5 October 2022. If required, enrolments will be transitioned into the replacement qualification.
