The Toowoomba Chapter of the Australian Computer Society, in partnership with Cryptoloc and supported by #Digitrek, are hosting a free presentation on cyber security for business owners.
Presented by Cryptoloc Executive Chairman, Jamie Wilson, the event will cover a range of topics including:
- The emergence of data security and its role in relation to perimeter and core security measures
- The importance of data security in relation to cyber security for businesses
- The landscape business owners must navigate from a regulatory perspective following recent changes to the Privacy Act as a result of last year’s Medibank and Optus breaches
Following Jamie’s presentation, ACS Skills Advisor, Luisa Grant, will outline the Cyber Security Traineeship Pilot. Louisa will share further on how the ACS has been working with industry to declare the Certificate IV in Cyber Security (22603VIC) a traineeship in Queensland in an effort to help address the demand for cyber security professionals.
TAFE Queensland Director of Corporate Solutions, Michele Berkhout, will MC the event. Complimentary refreshments and drinks will be served.
