BRISBANE Orientation

LOCATION: South Bank Campus – Restaurant, 66 on Ernest, C-block, Level 2 (66 Ernest Street, South Brisbane)

Brisbane orientation is for students studying at the following campuses:

 

If you are currently waiting for your results to meet entry requirement for your course commencing Semester 2, 2021 (July 2021 start) and if you require deferring your course to later semester e.g. Semester 1, 2022 (January 2022 start) please ensure you communicate with TAFE Queensland International (TQI) Administration team - Phone: 3244 5100 (option 3) / Email: Admin.TQI@tafeqld.edu.au / In Person: Student Services Centre, C-block, Level 1, South Bank Campus.


At the International Student Orientation Session, you will be given the essential information for International Students. Attendance at this orientation is mandatory.

  • Download CHECK IN QLD App for the Restaurant  
  • Ticket [Eventbrite] for the orientation will be emailed
  • Bring Passport & Ticket [Eventbrite] (on Mobile or Print-Out)

Course Orientation

As well as this International Orientation Information Session, you also have a course specific orientation session to attend. These sessions are a great opportunity to get to know your teachers, find out what you need to bring to class, timetables, textbook and facilities such as library services.

Course orientation will occur between Monday 5 July 2021 and Friday 9 July 2021.

Commencement of studies

TAFE Queensland is required by law to confirm to the Department of Education that all international students have started their studies.

During the week commencing 12th July 2021, staff from TAFE Queensland will be reviewing your class attendance to confirm you have started your program.

Student ID: to obtain your student ID card please visit the Student Services Centre/ID booth at your campus. 
You must bring with you:

  • Your eCoE (hard copy or electronic copy on your phone/tablet)
  • Photo identification (ie. Passport, Drivers Licence or 18+ card)
