With boxing being a keen interest from a young age and participating in many junior amateur boxing events, the 12 RND Fitness franchise at 110 Brisbane Road, Labrador seemed like a good fit.

“The 12 RND Fitness franchise was applicable for my business partner and I as it is relevant to everyday people, but has a great boxing element to the fitness program,” he said.

“Having your own business is great and you work harder in many ways. We have a very hands-on approach to running the gym, which has attracted many local men and women who enjoy the 45 minute workouts centred round a 12 round boxing contest, combing functional strength, cardio and boxing techniques.”

“This type of high intensity training has the benefit of allowing your body to continue to burn calories for up to 38 hours after each 12RND workout,” said Luke who believes this style of fitness is having a drastic improvement on healthy weight management.

“It’s great for everyone, especially men who are taking their workouts more seriously for health and longevity sake rather than pure aesthetics these days.”
