From our hospitality teachers to you, a super easy olive oil chocolate mousse recipe.

This classic olive oil chocolate mousse is great for anyone who is pressed for time. You only need about 10 minutes to set up and clean up, 20 minutes to make, and just five minutes to garnish and serve. It's also a relatively simple recipe that you can use to wow guests or that special someone.


  • 100g dark chocolate, melted
  • 100ml pouring cream, whipped
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup mixed berries


  1. Place chocolate in a bowl over a water bath of hot water, stirring every minute with a metal spoon, or until smooth. Set aside to cool slightly.
  2. Combine chocolate and cream in a bowl, slowly pour oil in, continuing to whisk until thick. Spoon into serving glass and refrigerate for 10 minutes or until ready to serve.
  3. Serve mousse topped with berries.

Chef tips

First, don't forget to think about how you are going to garnish the olive oil chocolate mousse ahead of time. While the recipie calls for mixed berriers, you can use alternate toppings, like orange slices or mint leaves.

Do not add any water to the melted chocolate, and when adding the cream do it slowly making sure to fold the two mixtures together. 

For this particular recipe, everything should be done by hand for the best results.
