TAFE Queensland is currently offering a range of courses subsidised by Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ).

If you’re currently working in the construction industry and looking to get some extra skills under your belt to advance your career, you’re in the right place. Alternatively, if you run a business in the construction industry, use these programs to offset some of the costs to develop the skills sets of your employees to build and strengthen your business further.

Short courses

The CSQ Short Courses Program provides funding for a number of competencies and skill sets for existing workers wanting to update their skills and knowledge in specific areas. Get in now, because subsidies for this course run out at the end of September 2018.

Skills Assessment and Gap Training

The CSQ Skills Assessment and Gap Training (SAGT) program provides pathways for eligible students with significant industry experience to have their existing skills recognised and receive the gap training required to achieve a nationally-recognised qualification. Subsidies for this course run out at the end of September 2018.

Higher Level Skills

The CSQ Higher Level Skills (HLS) program helps existing workers in the building and construction industry to gain new skills and knowledge to progress their career. Certificate IV and higher level vocational training qualifications are available under this program. Enrolments for this program finish on 30 September 2018.

How does it work?

CSQ funding is paid directly to TAFE Queensland. In some cases you might be required to contribute towards the remaining course fees.
