TAFE Queensland was among nine businesses shortlisted as finalists in the 2019 Sunshine Coast Business Awards' education and training category, with the nomination highlighting the organisation’s collaboration with the community and local industry.
TAFE Queensland General Manager Ana Rodger said that while the greatest reward for her staff is seeing students graduate and achieve their desired outcomes, the organisation is grateful to have been made a finalist.
“Our business is committed to delivering the best quality, hands-on vocational education and training to our students, and to be able to play a part helping them achieve their goals is the greatest honour of all,” Ms Rodger said.
"But we are thrilled to have been made a finalist and thank Sunshine Coast Business Awards for their acknowledgement.”
Ms Rodger credited her staff with the nomination, and said it was their commitment to their students and close ties to industry that made TAFE Queensland so successful in achieving outcomes for its graduates.
“We pride ourselves on working closely with the community and local industry to ensure the best results not only for our students, but the region as a whole,” she said.
“But it is our experienced and passionate teachers and dedicated support staff who make great happen every day by providing our students with the greatest chance of success. I could not be more proud to lead them.”
