2020 has been a year like no other. While it's presented us with many challenges, it's also given us time to stop and reflect on what's really important. But throughout everyone's varied experiences of the pandemic, one thing has remained constant — the love and admiration we feel for our healthcare workers. Never before has the world recognised the valuable contribution of these humble human beings, tirelessly putting the needs of others first to help us recover from this crisis.
While working in health has always been a sound career choice, the pandemic has further increased demand for a range of health care workers, in both health services and health administration. To help facilitate new and existing workers to succeed in this crucial industry, the Queensland Government is offering free Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for experienced health and administration professionals. With the introduction of the NDIS, Australia's ageing population, and now a global pandemic, demand for qualified health workers has never been higher.
TAFE Queensland's free Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) program is allowing experienced healthcare workers to have their years of skills and experience recognised. This process allows eligible Queenslanders to get formally recognised for the skills you already have at no cost. What's even better is that any gap training required to complete the qualification is also fully funded under the program.
Whatever your goal, this is a genuine opportunity to give your healthcare career a boost. Getting recognition for the skills and experience you’ve gained on the job means less study time for you while increasing your future job prospects and earning potential.
