In recognition of the critical role the industry will play in Australia's economic recovery, experienced tourism and hospitality professionals can now have their existing skills and experience recognised for free as part of TAFE Queensland's FREE RPL program.

Australia's tourism and hospitality industry has been doing it tough this year. The impacts of fires, floods, and now COVID-19 have hurt both rural communities and urban centres alike. But in the wake of the COVID-10 pandemic, what has become clear is Australian's love of exploring their own backyard and supporting local businesses.

In recognition of the critical role these industries will play in Australia's economic recovery, experienced tourism and hospitality professionals can now have their existing skills and experience recognised for free. With many Australians already planning their dream holiday as restrictions continue to ease, there's never been a better time to enhance your career prospects by getting your existing skills assessed and formally recognised.

Turn your experience into a qualification

TAFE Queensland's free Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) program is allowing experienced tourism and hospitality workers to have their years of skills and experience recognised. This process allows eligible Queenslanders to get formally recognised for the skills you already have at no cost. What's even better is that any gap training required to complete the qualification is also fully funded under the program.

Whatever your goal, this is a genuine opportunity to give your career a boost. Getting recognition for the skills and experience you’ve gained on the job means less study time for you while increasing your future job prospects and earning potential.
